GYXTW form of fiber optic cable is one that has an outer tube structure laid in the air, most suitable for outdoor environments of overhead application. It conforms to the concept of design of central tube cable, which is also known as loose tube cable.
Application:
Core Network/Backbone Network: Connects large data centers and switching centers, transmitting high-capacity data.
Metropolitan Area Network (MAN): Covers urban areas, connecting different administrative districts and business centers.
Access Network: Extends fiber optic cables to user areas, achieving "fiber to the home" (FTTH).
Underground Conduits: Laid in underground conduits, providing a secure and reliable communication link.
Tunnels: Laid inside tunnels, used for communication along railway and subway lines.
Non-Self-Supporting Overhead Cables: Installed on utility poles, but not directly supporting their own weight; often share poles with power lines or communication lines.
Features
There is a central loose tube that is filled with a gel that is resistant to water in order to provide the best possible protection for the fiber.
Steel-Polyethylene Bonded Sheath: This quality augments the cable strength and moisture-resistant nature.
In the case of the Metal Reinforcing Members, there are two wires placed in parallel on either side of the cable so as to contribute their excellent strength.
At the outermost layer is commonly the PSP (Polyethylene-coated Steel Tape) Armor, adding moisture-proofing qualities and resilience from crush.
The outer sheath is made of polyethylene (PE), and it can withstand harsh outdoor conditions.
