The GYTS optical cable structure consists of 250μm optical fibers enclosed in loose tubes made of high-modulus material, with the loose tubes filled with a waterproof compound. A metal strength member is located at the center of the cable core, and for some cable core counts, a layer of polyethylene (PE) is extruded over the metal strength member. The loose tubes (and filler ropes) are stranded around the central strength member to form a compact and circular cable core, with the gaps within the core filled with a water-blocking compound. A double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is then longitudinally wrapped around the core, followed by the extrusion of a polyethylene sheath to complete the cable.
Application:
Telecommunications Networks: GYTS cables are commonly used in telecommunications for internet, voice, and data services, enabling high-speed communication between different locations.
Campus Networks: These cables are often deployed in university or corporate campuses to connect different buildings, ensuring the availability of high-speed internet and intra-network services.
Data Centers: In data centers, GYTS cables can be utilized for connecting servers and networking equipment, providing the necessary bandwidth to support large data transfers.
Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs): They are suitable for building regional networks that connect multiple local networks within a city or a metropolitan area.
Underwater and Overland Connections: GYTS cables can also be used for undersea and overland connections, linking different geographical locations, especially in areas where traditional copper wiring is not feasible.
Industrial Applications: These cables are used in industrial settings where robust communication links are required between various devices and systems.
Broadcasting: GYTS fiber optic cables are also used in broadcasting applications to transmit high-quality audio and video signals over long distances
