Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between UPC and APC polish?
A: UPC has a flat end-face with return loss of 50dB or higher; APC has an 8-degree angled end-face with return loss of 60dB or higher. APC is recommended for RFoG/GPON single-fiber transmission to avoid back reflection.
Q: Can length, connector type and cable diameter be customized?
A: Yes. We support custom lengths, SC/LC/FC/ST connectors, UPC/APC polish, simplex/duplex designs, and cable diameters of 0.9mm, 2.0mm and 3.0mm.
Q: Are the patch cords 100% tested?
A: Yes, every patch cord and pigtail is 100% tested for insertion loss and return loss, and individual test reports can be supplied with your order.
Q: What is the difference between a patch cord and a pigtail?
A: A patch cord has connectors on both ends and is used for equipment patching; a pigtail has a connector on one end and is spliced to fiber on the other, typically in ODFs, splice closures and terminal boxes.
Q: What is the MOQ?
A: The MOQ is flexible depending on model and configuration. Please contact our sales team for exact quantities and lead time.
